Photo shoot planning

Date and time
of photo shoot:
Material to
be shot:
The material
that will be shot is for multiple DPS’s and the front cover of my magazine.
YouTube, a
ticking time bomb DPS 1
For my first
DPS (YouTube a ticking time bomb), I will be taking images of a (fake) bomb. The second image I would to take is of my
model ducking for cover from the explosion. The next image I would like to take
will involve a close up of the alarm clock about to tick on to 12. I would like
to take these images into Photoshop to give them the appropriate corrections as
well as a few overlays. These will be the YouTube logo, a lit match and
possible some grunge textures.
The online
film revolution DPS 2
For my second
DPS (The online film revolution) I will be taking images based on the
revolution. For example an image of a film makers hand up in the air, a film
maker holding a camera up in the air and an image of a router. I would like to
take these images into Photoshop to give all my images a grungy look.

DPS 3
For my final
DPS I would like to take some very simple images that I can turn into diagrams
in Photoshop. There are a few images I would like to take. My first image I
would like to take is of a DSLR camera. The second image I would like to take
is of all of the equipment that will be needed for the project. I would then
like to take an image of each step of building the slider. After taking all the
images I will print them all of and using a light box I will make line drawing
of each image. I will then transfer it into Photoshop where I can add colour
and correct any mistakes.
Front
cover
As
my feature article is “YouTube a ticking time bomb”, my front cover imagery for
the front cover will be very similar to that of the article. The image will be
a few sticks of dynamite lit. The appropriate corrections will be made in
Photoshop such as lighting and colour adjustment.

What props
will you need?
DPS 1
The props I
will need is a fake bomb which I will create using multiple empty kitchen rolls
which I will paint red to make it look like dynamite. I will then attach an
alarm clock and electrical wire to make it look more realistic.
DPS 2
The props I
will need are a DSLR camera and a modem router.
DPS 3
The props I
will need for this DPS will be a DSLR camera, the equipment needed to build the
slider, the materials needed, and the finished fully functional slider.
Describe in
detail your make-up & costume needs. (Include reference material to
illustrate your needs)
For all of my
DPS’s I do not really need any makeup however there are a few costumes that I
need.
DPS 1
Desert
camouflage vest or something military related when my model is taking cover
from the bomb.
DPS 2
I need my
model to look like a stereotypical film maker.
DPS 3
Studio shoots: what kind of lighting?
(include
reference material to illustrate your needs)
DPS 1
The lighting
for this photo shoot will be butterfly lighting and narrow lighting.
DPS 2
The lighting
for this photo shoot I will be using the -------- for off location photo shoot
DPS 3
The lighting
for this photo shoot I will be using the -------- for off location photo shoot
I will also be using a DIY soft box which is quite relevant to the article.
Backdrop:
The backdrop
will be white for all of my shoots on location as I would like the focus of
images to be either on the props or the model. However DPS 2 will be taken off
location and the backdrop will most likely be heavily eroded or vandalised
walls or some kind of grungy backdrop. DPS 3 will be taken within a workshop.
